The last day for submission is Wednesday, Sep 30. Digital version of the forms are available here.

As a school, we have a 100% goal for submission of the CNEEB form – please submit this even if your family is not currently in need of free meals. It is directly related to the City of Seattle and Seattle Public Schools partnership to provide free meals to all families. You can find it here.

As is tradition, we have free Washington State Fair tickets available in the front office! These are student admission tickets and are valid through the end of the fair, September 27th. Please, come grab a bundle – we’ve got plenty to spare. 😊

Friday, September 25, 3:30-7pm: SPS is partnering with SVNA to host a school vaccine clinic offering the updated 2026–27 Moderna COVID vaccine and Flucelvax trivalent preservative-free flu vaccines. Most insurance plans are accepted. For those paying cash, rates are $200 for COVID and $60 for flu. Sign up here.

Friday, September 25: Ask your child to wear BF Day gear or school colors (red/orange/yellow) for the first school assembly of the year.

Thursday, Sept 24, 5:30-7:30 pm: We’re looking forward to Curriculum Night. Come meet your child’s teachers, see their learning spaces and meet other families. Schedule:

• 5:30–5:55 p.m. Session 1 – Classroom teachers have rooms open for presentations
• 5:55–6 p.m. Passing period
• 6–6:25 p.m. Session 2 – Classroom teachers have rooms open for presentations AND Specialist and Special Education classrooms are open; counselor, nurse, and librarian available
• 6:25–6:30 p.m. Passing period
• 6:30–6:55 p.m. Session 3 – Specialist and Special Education classrooms are open; counselor, nurse, and librarian available

The B.F. Day Building Leadership Team is gathering information to shape our school improvement plan for the 26-27 school year. They’d really like to hear from each family to help them better understand what’s working well, and what they can do even more of to meet the needs of our students. We are asking that each household complete this survey. The survey will be open until October 1st.

Seattle Public Schools has revamped their application process to make approvals vastly faster. You no longer need staff to send you a sign-up link. Anyone can apply directly online, and school staff can approve you as soon as your background check clears. Submit your application directly on the SPS Volunteer Page.
