We’re looking for volunteers to help support some key programs this year:
1. Salmon in the Schools: We’re looking especially for first grade parents to help round out our volunteer team (although anyone is welcome to join!), since the first grade teachers are considering adding salmon lifecycle lessons to their curriculum. More about responsibilities here.
2. Robotics Club: Help support and run the club on Thursdays, 2:30-4pm alongside Ms Oklander
3. Food Drive Coordinator: Pick up bags of food from the Wallingford Food Bank every Friday and drop them off at the school
4. Room Parent Coordinator: help liaise with room parents across different classrooms. We also need room parents
5. Maker Carts Volunteers: Help assemble our new STEM maker carts – unboxing supplies and organizing them onto the carts.
6. Beautification committee: Grounds and gardens – help organize BF Day work parties to complete various gardening tasks around the school
More details about all positions can be found on our volunteer page.
If any of these seem like your jam, or you are interested in learning more, reach out to vicepresident@bfdayptsa.org or fill out the volunteer interest form. We encourage you to reach out – every contribution, no matter how small, makes a meaningful difference to our community.
You will need to be cleared as a volunteer for any in-school task. Find out more about the process here.
