Fun Run

What is it?  On May 13 will be the B.F. Day Fun Run! Students get 40 minutes to run or walk around the fun run course. Sometimes there is music, sometimes bubbles and occasionally dragons and monsters running too! 

 

Why do we do it? Our school relies on donations to the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA). The Fun Run is one of the PTSA’s major fundraisers. This year, proceeds from the Fun Run will go directly to helping Ms. Papineau revamp the library, so that it can function as a complete learning hub for students, families, and staff. By supporting your runner, you help ensure that B.F. Day continues to be a school that both inspires and supports our community’s children.

 

How does it work? Ask family and friends to sponsor you in the fundraiser. Donations can be flat rate (e.g. $25) or by the lap (e.g. $2/lap). Volunteers keep track of how many laps students complete, and send that information home after the event. Students typically complete 10-30 laps (each lap is approximately 1/10 of a mile).

 

What do I do after the event? You go back to your sponsors, let them know how many laps you ran, and either collect their checks or cash or direct them to the donation link paypal.me/BFDayPTSA (please note “fun run” on online payments).
